11 weeks to go...

Oh my...time is going by so fast! A little too fast if you ask me. We are running out of time to get everything done. I think we are both starting to get more and more nervous as July approaches. Hopefully we can just enjoy these last few months and be ready when the baby gets here...

Sleepy

I wish I could take a nap during the day. I would happily curl up on the floor under my desk to sleep for 30 mins. I bet I would work better! What if offices had a nap room? It could be a room full of cots. You would bring your own pillow and blankets. Every 30 minutes there could be a rotation of people in there. If only...

Summer

This morning as I was leaving the gym it smelled like summer. I have no idea what summer smells like but the weather was beautiful and the smell reminded me of summer. I love the summer time! I don't know why I love it so much. I guess it spills over from being in school and looking forward to the summer. Too bad I still have to work during the summer now!!

Productive

I love when we are productive and boy were we productive this weekend. Friday the office closed early (I work for a great company by the way) and Lance was at home because he had to work that night. So we went shopping for bedding for the nursery. We found a really cute beach themed set which was right up my alley. Lance has pictures of it on his blog if you want to see. Saturday morning we got up early to register at Babies R Us, Target, and The Baby's Room. Then we went back to the place where we bought the bedding and bought a dresser there we liked. After buying the dresser we took it home and put it together. It took us at least two hours to do that..but we didn't fight while doing it which is a bonus. We don't work very well together some times. HAHA!!

Saturday night was fun. We went to a friend of Lance's house to have dinner and watch a movie. Well, they watched the movie...I fell asleep as usual.

Yesterday, we went to church...which was wild. There were 32 kids in the Kindergarten/First Grade class. That is a lot at our church. We thought things would start slowing down after Easter but it has just picked up steam. Not that we are complaining. It is great that our church is growing and that we are running out of room to house everyone. After church Lance worked in the yard, I did laundry and went grocery shopping. Then we did a little more in the nursery. Needless to say, this little monkey is going to have the most decorated room in the house. We still have some work to do in there but over all it is coming together nicely. I can't wait until we are done in there. It is so cute!!

Drs visit

I finally had my glucose test today. I have been dreading it for seven weeks now and finally drank the juice this morning. It was no where near as bad as I thought it would be. I was pleasantly surprised. An hour after finishing it, I had my blood drawn. I actually have a bruise today from them taking my blood. She must not have been as gentle as the other lady usually is. I have not had a bruise a single time. I think I will find out the results in the next few days.

I had to see a different doctor today. From now on I have to see a different one each time I go. I guess they want you to experience them all in case your doctor is not on call when you deliver. I did not like this guy at all. First of all he didn't even knock when he came in the door. Then he did not shake my hand or introduce himself...just got straight to business. He was not personable, comforting, friendly, or caring the way a gynecologist should be. I pray he is not on call the day I deliver. I will squeeze my legs together until there is a shift change so I don't have to deal with him.

I gained more weight that I should have this time and he was very hateful about that as well. I guess no more poptarts for breakfast and no more ice cream for dessert. Sorry baby.

On a different note...I am so glad Sanjaya was finally voted off of American Idol. He was horrible and I am glad we do not have to hear him again (at least alone). I am sure they will have everyone back on for the finale. Melinda and Jordin have pulled ahead of Lakeisha for me. I am sure she will be voted off next week. I like Blake as well. Honestly, I do not care who wins this year. No one is as amazing as Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood were.

A Weekend of Fun

Here are pictures from this past weekend:

My mom and sisters at my cousin's Wedding Shower. How did I get that big??

My cousins (and a friend) at Tricia's wedding shower...she is the one in the middle.

Friends at Erin's House for a cook out.

We had a fun and packed weekend! It is nice to have time with our friends. I think our weekends have been so packed because we are trying to soak up as much friend time as possible before the baby gets here. It will be hard to see everyone afterwards.

Third Trimester

It is officially the beginning of my third trimester. Everything is uphill from here. HA! So far i have been very lucky. I hope this last three months will go as smoothly as the first six months have. We still have tons to do but I know we will get it all done in time...as long as there are no surprises.

Don't mind me...

I am just having a moment. My hormones are going crazy...I am so emotional. I try to keep them in check but I might explode one day...FAIR WARNING!! I just can't help it. I have no control over my own body what so ever.

So cold

It is so cold today! It has been beautiful these last couple of weeks (minus the pollen) and now it is going to be freezing this weekend. Hopefully this is the last cold blast before summer gets here. I love spring and fall!

Hopefully this cold weather does not hurt the plants we planted a couple of weeks ago...that would be a bummer.

Happy Easter everyone!!

We are back... : (

We went to Nashville for the weekend...and now we are back working. It was a nice little trip...short but nice. The Nashville area is beautiful. It was so green and SOOO MUCH land. You would never see that much free space in Atlanta. The developers are gobbling up every inch here. Friday night we made it up there around 4:30 (our time), had dinner and ice cream and just hung out for the evening. Saturday we went to Hillsborough Village and had lunch, went to a replica of the Parthenon but didn't want to pay to go inside so we looked from outside, drove through a couple of nice areas around Nashville, and then headed downtown. We walked up and down Broadway looking in some of the shops (which was very interesting). We eventually settled on heading in to Tootsies which is a bar with an open mic (every bar on Broadway had live music). Coincidentally there was a girl at the table next to us that was pregnant and she commented on how fun it was to be pregnant in a bar. I didn't mind it though until this nasty guy started smoking next to us. Then we moved on. After Tootsies, we went to Rippy's. They had an outside patio on top of their restaurant which was perfect. The weather was so nice we enjoyed being outside. We then met my cousin and his girlfriend for dinner down the street at Big River Grill...it is owned by Gordon Biersch. It was nice to be able to see them and hang out for a little while. After dinner we headed over to the Predators game (Go Thrashers!). We had a super obnoxious lady sitting behind us but it made for good conversation in the car on the way home. Overall everything went by so fast but we really enjoyed our time in Nashville. If it wasn't for the snow, I might enjoy living there.
