We always say "If only there were a few more hours in the day...". Well this year we get a full 24 extra hours. So I am going to be thankful for all that I have during my extra 24 hours. Some times I don't feel like I say thank you enough...especially to God. I think that is really all he wants to hear is "Thank you".
I am thankful for my sweet little family!!
Lance is so amazing. He is working so hard. The alarm goes off at 5:05...he is out of bed by 5:30 or so. I know it is so hard for him to get up knowing that the other person in the bed gets to stay there. He goes to the gym to get his day started right. Then he spends the next nine hours at work busting his tail so that I can stay home and raise our beautiful daughter. And then he comes home and usually does something for work during the evening. Either before or after doing work, he plays with and entertains Reese for a little while. It definitely gives me a little break even though usually I find myself on the floor playing with them both.
Reese is growing so fast and I am so thankful to be able to stay home to watch her. She is getting herself on to a schedule. It is something that I thought would never happen. The early days when I had no idea when she would eat, sleep, cry, or be happy are behind us. I can make plans to do something at a specific time and know that I will not interrupt her! Yeah!! We are so blessed to have a healthy, happy baby!
Thank you God for my sweet little family!
What do you plan to do with your extra 24 hours??

Date Night
Lance and I had our first date night since Reese was born. Saturday night my parents stayed with Reese for a couple of hours so that we could celebrate our anniversary. We had dinner at the Sun Dial. We had never been there before. It was a nice evening so we could see a lot of Atlanta. It was hard to leave Reese behind for the first time. I had a moment getting in to the car but it quickly passed as we pulled out of the garage. I was excited to spend the evening with Lance. My parents said she did well until it was bath time and bed time. She still won't take a bottle so she didn't have her bed time snack. We got home around 8:30 and she was watching TV with my parents. She started to cry as we walked in the door and then waved good-bye to my parents once I picked her up. I definitely missed her while we were gone.

Heidi Klum
I hate her! Not really but how is it fair that she "gave birth to her son Johan in November [2006], but proving that there is actually no rest for the wicked, she returned to form in 34 days to be in the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show"? Seriously...I have been looking for at least a month for a bathing suit that I feel comfortable wearing out in public. It has been seven months since having a baby for me and I can not find anything!! Nothing!! Yet, good ole Heidi will strut down a runway a month later in lingerie. Not fair!!

Three Years
Lance and I are celebrating our third anniversary today. Happy Anniversary Honey! I love you!
Learning, Learning, Learning
Reese is learning so many new things lately. It is amazing to watch her grow and learn every day. Sometimes I just sit and watch her play and study her toys. I would love to know what she is thinking.
Things she has learned or attempted recently: swimming in the pool, swinging at the playground, waving, saying da-da, and clapping. She is trying really hard to crawl right now. When I sit her on the ground she leans to the side and rocks. She wants to move so bad!!
Today Reese is seven months old. She had her montly doctors visit to get a vaccination and she did very well. She only wimpered and teared up when she was stuck with the needle. She didn't even cry!! She weighed 19 lbs, 11 ounces with clothes on so she is probably closer to 19 pounds.
I was going to load some new pictures but I think Blogger is having some issues and they will not load...I will load later!

Busy Busy
Where did the week go? Last week was super busy so I never had a chance to post. I have no idea what we did all week but the week went by so fast!! Here is an update of what has been going on.
Last Monday we had a playdate with my cousin Elisa and her son Caleb. I forgot to take pictures but we had a great time visiting with them. Tuesday was Super Tuesday so Lance left work a little early and we went to vote. The rest of the week we played hard and worked hard. Friday I joined LA Fitness again and then went to the mall to find an anniversary present for Lance. Saturday I had an event at church that I had to go to so Lance stayed home with Reese. We are still trying to get her to drink formula from a bottle and she did not want anything to do with that. When I got home Lance had given her some food so she was happy. I love coming home and see her get excited when I walk in the door!! Sunday we went to church and then to lunch with my family. Now it's Monday again. Reese is napping and I am about to get my gym clothes on so we can head that way once she wakes up. Hopefully she will be happy in the Kids Klub long enough for me to get a decent work out in. I know it will be tough at first but hopefully she will enjoy it after a while!!

Kindness
It is amazing how God's lessons catch you right at the exact moment they are supposed to. This month my Kindergarteners and First Graders are talking about kindness. At Church I am so busy with what is going on that I am just going through the motions and not taking in the lesson myself. After Church Lance and Lissa were talking about the sermon they heard about praying big and we began to talk about things we needed to pray about. I mentioned that I needed to pray to be nicer...in a joking and not so joking manner. Sitting here at the computer tonight I was thinking about the conversation we had and it hit me that I really need to pay attention to what my kids are hearing this month. Maybe their lesson is exactly what I need.
Here are three of the things they learned today:
Kindness—showing others they are valuable by how you treat them.
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31
Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Lost
I am so excited that Lost is back on. I don't know how long it will be on because of the writers strike. I am not sure how many episodes were recorded. Hopefully we will get to see the full season. I am spoiled because we have been watching full seasons of different shows from Netflix so I feel like I should have all of the answers to Lost by the end of the week. Last nights episode was interesting. I enjoyed it except for the scary parts. I think I am more of a wuss now than ever before. I get scared of the mental problems people have on there...I am not sure why. Maybe because that part can be so much more real than a polar bear running after you on an island in the Pacific. Hurley is probably one of my favorite characters who was followed last night. He is funny, lovable, and always there for any one who needs it! I can't wait to see where this season takes us. If this show turns out stupid in the end, I am going to be really angry that I have wasted all of this time watching it!! I have a website that I always look at because they have still shots of things that you probably missed. I link to it on the sidebar but I don't know if it is going to work. I tried to access it earlier and it wouldn't work. Sometimes it is extra busy the morning after a show.
