So mad...

The other day I was reading the blog of a friend who was talking about how she was "so mad she couldn't see straight". Well twice this week I have been so mad I couldn't sleep!!

The first night I found out someone lied deceived me. I was so upset that someone could flat out deceive me that way that I could not think of anything else the whole night. I layed in bed for hours just getting more mad!!

The next morning I was blogsurfing and saw this verse on a page: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. John 14:1 Isn't it funny the things we find when we aren't looking? Words that speak to you at just the right time.

Last night our new neighbors decided to have a party...probably a house warming party....which is totally fine! Have a party, celebrate your new house, share it with friends...I am ok with that! The party didn't start around 8:00 PM though. And they were outside, playing, talking, and being loud. There were kids in the back yard throwing the ball (who probably should have been getting ready for bed). One of their balls flew over our fence around 8:15 and they rang the doorbell and knocked on the door (with in two seconds of the other) to ask to get their ball back. Luckily Reese was still in the bathtub and not asleep yet. Lance got the ball for them and threw it back over the fence. I decided to go to bed around 10:30. I fall asleep to noise from outside but trying not to be bothered by it. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't realize how loud they were. 11:30 PM a loud knock at the door. Seriously?? They had thrown another ball over the fence and wanted it back. It is 30 minutes before midnight...why is it necessary to knock on our door for a stinking plastic ball??? I was livid that I was awaken for a ball...luckily Reese did not wake up or I would have been even more mad!! Of course I could not go back to sleep. I was fired up thinking of all the things I was going to say to my neighbors...knowing that I never would say it to them. Over and over I try to remind myself of the verse I read the other morning. 1:00 AM rolls around and I am finally able to fall asleep again. I am still thinking about mentioning to them that I do not appreciate their guests knocking on our door so late at night but I don't think I will go out of my way to do it. If I happen to run in to them in the next few days I may say something.

The Right Decision

As of May 31st our house is no longer for sale. We decided to wait until maybe next year or the next to see if the market gets any better. Then we will try to sell it again. As for right now I think we have made the right decision. We both feel really good and confident about our decision. Today while I was at the pool with Reese I met a girl who was about my age with a daughter who is seven months old! That is so wonderful because for the last two and a half years we have lived here we thought there was no one else around our age here. Now hopefully we can make some friends and Reese will have some friends her age to play with! I am excited to see how this summer goes and to see what is in store for us!!

Work Hard, Play Hard

We have been busy working hard around here!! This past week we have painted the living room and dining room and we completely cleaned up outside. We planted flowers and shrubs, laid pine straw every where, cut the grass, and probably a ton of other stuff I am forgetting. We had an agent caravan (similar to an open house but for agents) on Tuesday so we wanted to get things situated nicely for that!! Lance put in a ton of time and effort in to getting most of this done. He worked hard so he is getting to play hard today. He is at the Masters Practice Round today with some people he does business with.

Before: The backyard after the monsoon came through...we have a lake in the back yard...and what looks like a mudslide

After: The lake has dried up...and you have to appreciate all of the pine straw on the hill!

My work around the front tree...there were more flowers...they died during the snow!

Now for play...

We had to move the mattress down in the crib after this stunt...

Tornado Reese...I love to pull everything out of the basket and chew on the nail clippers

Our new view

Those sweet eyes...I can't count the number of compliments I have received on her eyes...if we could get a dollar for every time we would have her college paid for by now!!

Recap

I don't know how a week goes by without a new post. This past week wasn't too busy or crazy. Thursday we got to go to the park again because it was beautiful. We are going to try to get out there again today! Friday we went to the gym because it was rainy and cold. Reese didn't cry at all while we were there!! Woohoo!! Saturday we spent the day cleaning, watching movies, and running errands. Oh yeah...and we bought a Wii. Lance stayed up all night playing with that...I am sure he is thinking about it at work right now. Sunday we were finishing up cleaning the house because we had an Open House that afternoon and suddenly realized we had lost an hour! We began racing around the house to finish cleaning and getting ready for church. That is not the way to start the day. It seemed everyone at church felt rushed Sunday morning as well. Sunday afternoon we went out to my parents house and spent time on their Wii with my mom and Becca. This morning as I climbed out of bed my hip was hurting...and I remembered all of my Wii playing over the weekend. Isn't that crazy that you can be sore from playing video games??

Well, here are some pictures from this past week.

One of Reese's new favorite things to do is sit in front of her toy baskets and take everything out.

Here she is in the downstairs toy basket.

At the park...look at all of the green behind her. You don't see that much around here anymore. Her sunhat stayed on long enough for me to take this picture. She kept taking it off and throwing it on the ground.
You know it is a gorgeous day when Dobbins has it planes out flying around. It looks small here but this is one of those "Operation Dumbo Drop" planes.

We bought this jumping seat for her...we will see how she likes it!
Oh yeah...and she learned how to push herself up to a seated position this weekend.

For Sale

Our house is officially on the market. Monday night our realtor came by to put the sign in the yard and put the lock box on the door. Today pictures were taken. Since we decided for me to stay home and raise Reese, we thought it would be best to sell the house and downsize. We don't plan on the selling being easy but we are hopeful. If it is meant to happen it will. If it doesn't sell by February, we will start over in the spring time and try again. Once the house sells we will probably move in to an apartment for six months to a year to find the perfect house for us to move in to because we will be there for a long time. We want a new house in a new community where people are our age. We want it to be a great school district too. So if we have to be in an apartment for a while to find that perfect place we are happy to do it. I just have to mention that Lance has put a lot of effort in to getting the house cleaned and ready to sell. He has done a great job!!

AC

So it turns out the problem with the AC was not bad as it could have been. It is working now and we are very lucky!! We were able to sleep upstairs in comfort last night..woohoo!!
