Couldn't you just...

Eat her up?!?! Ok, maybe it is just me. I could definitely eat her up.

Thank you Amy for the hat. She loves it. Even today with the temps in the mid 60's Reese wore her hat while we were at the park.

Mommy Secrets...

Reese has started calling me "Ma-me" (drag out the ma) now. It is the cutest and sweetest thing. I guess when I refer to myself I call me "Mommy" so she has picked it up. She woke up in the middle of the night earlier in the week and that is what I heard down the hallway. I just smiled...even at 1 o'clock in the morning.

Growing Up

It has been over 48 hours since I last nursed Reese. I think it was harder for me to stop nursing than it was for her. She went to bed as she normally does and I came downstairs a little misty-eyed. She is still not wanting to drink milk instead but we are working on it...we will keep trying!! Who would have thought that it would be so emotional to stop when I was looking so forward to stopping?!?!? Now I own my own body again for awhile! How did she grow so fast to get to this point? I am so grateful to have had this special bonding time with her over the last year...and I am glad to be done in a bitter sweet kind of way!

How embarrasing...

I just got home from the store and realized that I have poop...yes, POOP...on my shirt. Apparently on the way to the store somebody (I will not mention names to protect the stinky) pooped...ALOT...in their diaper and it squirted out on to my shirt when I got her out of the car. I walked around the store carrying her and people talking to her all the while I am sure they were looking at the poop on my shirt. Nice! Then I put her back in the car, still not noticing. Luckily we came straight home. Eww!!

MOMS

I had my first MOMS adventure today. I found this group online because I was looking for other moms in my area to spend time with. Well, it wasn't exactly as I had hoped. The moms were nice and the kids seemed to be having fun in the play area at Chick-fil-a. But it just didn't feel right. I am really looking for other moms my age. These moms seemed to be in their mid-30s and the youngest kid there was 2. Granted two of the moms are expecting but still...they are all older. Also, one of the moms came sick and her kid was sick and hacking like a seal. Seriously, keep you kid at home if they are sick. I think I will give another outing with them a chance to see how I feel about it. It is a club so there is a membership...which is $25 a year I think. I want to be sure these are people I want to spend time with before I spend the money. I don't know what I am going to do!

On another note, I know I am a mom now and I will experience some of the nastiest things ever with kids but I hate boogers and runny noses! All of the kids at Chick-fil-a today seemed to have both! Yuck!! My kids noses are probably going to be so dry and irritated because I am going to constantly be cleaning them!

Growth Spurt

Reese has been eating like a machine the last few days. She has been waking up more at night to eat too. I hope this is a just a growth spurt because it is wearing me out. She is constantly whining because she is hungry. She can't wait to eat. I think in the past 24 hours she has eaten nine times. It is hard to go to sleep at 11:00 and have to wake up at 12:30 to feed her...and then wake up again at 4:00. In the past three months I don't think I have slept more than four hours at one time. On top of being tired and frustrated I am starving!!

Stay at Home Mom

It is official! I am a stay at home mom. I am so relieved to be able to do this. It was definitely something I have been praying about and thinking about for a while. But it really hit me strongly after having Reese. I am so lucky to have this oppurtunity. It is going to be tight around here for a while but we will make it work. So no one ask us to go to dinner or doing anything extra. The answer will be no. Ramen noodles never killed any one. If you have any advise on saving money, we are listening.
