Post Secret

I have added a link to my "things to see". It is a blog I found on a friend of Lance's page. It is fun to read every once in a while to see what kind of secrets people keep...enjoy!

Super Mom

These last few days have been a little trying. I feel like I have to be super mom all of the time. Reese's new thing in to scream instead of cry. At first it really scared me because I thought something was wrong. I checked her temp...fine, fed her...full, changed her diaper...clean, cuddle...check. She is my little snuggle bug. She just wants to be held and cuddled. I am afraid I am creating a monster but I think it is just a stage she is going through right now. If I put her in her swing and walk in to the kitchen she screams. She used to be content there.

Oh well, it will get better. She did sleep from 8:00 to 5:00 last night so I can't complain there. I think I hear her waking now...better go feed that baby!

Are you smarter than an 8th Grader?

I stole this from Lance's page...I never claimed to be as smart as he is...I probably failed this in 8th grade anyways!!

Playdate Part II

We had a playdate today with little Mitchell and his mommy. This is the same family from our last playdate. Mitchell is so tiny. He is a week older than Reese and he only weighs 9 lbs. 11 oz. However he is 23 inches long so he is just really skinny. Reese is so much bigger than him. You can really tell the difference when you pick him up after holding her. I will put a picture up of the two of them once I get them loaded. It is fun to have these playdates because Mitchell's mom and I can talk and compare notes. It will be fun to see how Mitchell and Reese grow. Hopefully we can continue to have these playdates even after Mitchell's mom goes back to work.

Chunky Monkey

Reese is two months old today! Wow! We had her two month check up this morning and she is a chunky monkey. She weighs 13 lbs, 7 oz. That is in the 97 percentile. She is 23 3/4" long and that is in the 92 percentile. I can't believe how much she has grown in one month. It is amazing to see. I'm not going to be able to pick her up soon...she is going to have to learn how to walk.
This picture is from when she was a month old but I thought it was appropriate since she was with her monkey Peggy made for her.

3 Day Walk

We have a friend who is particiapting in the Atlanta 3 Day Walk that benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. Over those three days she will walk 60 miles. Lance and I love to donate to causes like this but since we are minus one income and plus one family member we can not donate as much as we would like to be able to. So I am asking you to help our friend in meeting her goal to raise $2200. If you would like to donate, please visit her website at http://www.the3day.org/atlanta07/meridethray. Thank you!!

Go Meredith! We are thinking about you!!

AGG Picnic

Here are two pictures from Lance's company picnic on Saturday. The event was at Stone Mountain and the weather was beautiful. I am so glad it has finally cooled off some. Reese enjoyed the nice weather too. We went to the top of the mountain but she was cranky because she was sleepy so we didn't get to stay up there for too long. It was a fun day though. It will be more fun next year when she is walking around and checking things out.

Ready for the Yellow Daisy Festival

I spoke too soon

Just so you know...Size 2 diapers did not help the exploding out of the diaper on to the clothes! No words are needed when you see this picture:

No more cute clothes will be worn until we can figure out how to curb this explosion problem. We have resorted to wearing the t-shirts we took from the hospital.

Size 2

I finally figured out why Reese keeps getting poop all over herself and every outfit I put her in...her diapers are too small. I am such a moron. The size 1 box says for 8-14 lbs so I figured she was still ok in them because I know she is not 14 lbs yet. Well after going through two outfits today I decided to try the size 2 diapers. They are perfect and hopefully we will save some clothes from being turned yellow! I just bought a box of 252 (or so) size 1 diapers at BJ's last week. Luckily I have not opened the box and will take them back for the larger size. I can't believe she is already in the size 2 diapers and isn't even two months old yet. Geez, she's gonna be walking soon!

Today

Today we went down to GT to go to the game. We hung out for a little while at the tailgate and it was really hot and sunny. We decided it was better not to take Reese in to the game because we didn't want her to get too hot or burned. So we did not get a picture of her in her cute little bumblebee sunhat Peggy bought yesterday. Instead Reese and I went to Lenox for a few hours while Lance went to the game. She slept the entire time until she decided to poop all over her GT dress. I had to undress her, walk around with her naked in Macy's and buy her a new outfit (only spent $3.50 for an outfit on clearance). Luckily I had laid her blanket over my lap so the poop got on it...otherwise I would have been covered in poop too! That would have been embarrasing. After Lance left the game we went by his work and set up his new office. It has been a long day but Reese was the perfect baby all day. I know she is glad to be home and sleeping in her own bed.

Yellow Daisy Festival

Today Reese and I ventured out to Stone Mountain with my grandmother to walk around the Yellow Daisy Festival. It was a very nice day (a little hot). All of the booths are in the shade so it kept the temperature down and there was a nice breeze. We saw a ton of cute things and Peggy bought Reese a cute yellow sun hat with bumble bees on it. It will come in handy for the GT game tomorrow. Once we have some pictures, I will post them. She is going to be the cutest GT fan there is.

Playdate

Reese and I had our first playdate last Monday. While taking prenatal yoga I met a girl who was due a few days after I was. It turns out she had to have a c-section because her son was breeched so he was born a week before Reese. His name is Mitchell and he is tiny. Here is a picture from their playdate. Reese is already turning the boys heads!! Too cute! Reese had on a much cuter outfit when we arrived for our playdate but shortly after we got there she exploded in her diaper and all over Mitchell's mom. There was so much poop it came out the top of her diaper! Way to go girl! Luckily I had a spare outfit in the diaper bag. I am slowly catching on to this mom stuff...too bad I ran out of wipes while I was there.
