Relay For Life
As promised, here are pictures from Relay for Life 2012. It was a beautiful day, a little warm but not too bad. When we arrived my parents, Becca, and grandparents were already there waiting on us. We got our chairs set up under the tent and then started walking around the campground to check everything out. It is always so amazing to see what the schools do to raise money. This year my mom’s school had a little putt-putt green set up. If you got a hole-in-one, you were entered in to a drawing for a round of golf at a local course. They seemed to get a good bit of business when we were around.
While walking around we found this huge slide that Reese wanted to slide down. It was SOOO fast that it scared her and I am pretty sure she will never want to do that again.
We ended up running in to my aunt and uncle after this and I totally forgot to get their pictures. We were so focused on finding face painting that we couldn’t think of much else. We passed a couple of people doing face painting but they were always high school girls and I knew there would be someone better out there. I am so glad we waited and found this lady. She was a professional face painter (I don’t know if that is a real title or not but she was amazing).
Waiting in line to turn in to tigers.
Sam went first. It was his first time ever having his face painted and he was so good. I really think he loved it.
My little man cub
Up next was Reese and after seeing Sam she was so excited to have her turn.
My little tigress
They couldn’t wait to show Granddaddy and Papa what they looked like. They roared a lot!
Sam was such a ham. By the end of the night most of his paint had sweated off, been rubbed off, or eaten off. Ha!
While we cheered on the survivors during the survivor walk, tons of people would point to them and say how cute their painted faces were. They really were amazing.
One school had a big cut out of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Reese wanted to get her picture taken in it. We were about to walk over for the pictures and she stopped me and said she wanted a “clean face” so she could look like Rapunzel. So we had to wipe all of her face paint off before having her picture made.
We walked around again once it was dark. It is such a neat event and we had a great time once again this year!

The Bug Guy
Sam is very interested in “the bug guy”. He always asks questions about him when he is at our house spraying. And when he is not here, he asks if “the bug guy” is coming. It is too funny! One day he pulled out their little vacuum cleaner and was walking around with the hose part out. I asked him what he was doing and he said, “I the bug guy”.

Last Week of Preschool Review
Here is a review of Reese’s last week of preschool.
Monday and Tuesday they had their end of the year show. It was “A day in the life of a preschooler”. The songs went through their days at preschool. They sang a hello song, letters song, Spanish song, library song, and church songs. My favorite song was the last one they sang called “Jesus You’re My Superhero”. It was so cute. We all went on Monday to watch to show and then Sam and I went on Tuesday to watch too. I tried to record the song on Tuesday but my camera died almost right away.
Wednesday they had awards day. The teachers gave each of them an award from the year. There were lots of cute awards. Reese received the “Best Leader” award “in recognition for always following directions, rules, routines and taking initiative to help others do the same”.
Thursday was the last day of school. I took the traditional last day of school picture. They didn’t turn out super great but here they are…
They had a pizza party and watched Tangled for their last day. Reese was very sad that it was her last day of school and did not want to be done with it already! She kept telling me that she was “very sad” to not get to go to her school anymore.
Thursday night was graduation night. We tried to get some great pictures before hand in the backyard but once again they didn’t turn out that great. Oh well! Some are really cute.
When we arrived we got great seats…or so we thought. Unfortunately Reese was in the exact place where a microphone was in the way of getting pictures of her. They sang several songs to start the show and then they each received their diploma and a “read with me Bible”.
I did get teary during the show. I just can’t believe my baby girl is starting Kindergarten this fall! When the pianist started playing the graduation song it really got to me. This little girl has had so much fun in preschool. She has loved every single minute of it.
After they received their diplomas and Bible they had a second where they got to stand in front of everyone and have their parents take their pictures. On the screen behind them they displayed a baby picture. Reese was super quick standing there so this is the only picture Lance got of her. Instead of gowns, they wore their daddy’s white button up shirts backwards.
After the ceremony they had a little party. There was cake, of course, and all kinds of kids running around. We tried to get a picture of Reese with her teachers and friends.
