Sports Day

Saturday morning we got up early and went to breakfast as a family...sort of an early Mother's Day breakfast. After breakfast we headed to Brody's baseball game that was about 20 minutes from our house. We were only able to stay for about an hour but it was fun to get to see him play. Hayes loved watching the big boys play.

From his game, we left for Reese's soccer game that was at noon. They finally played a team that was more of an even match for them. They have been getting beat pretty big time most of the season so this was a fun game. At one point during the game, the parents were all so excited because we were so happy for our girls. Reese said they were tied at the end of the game, but I don't know because I never keep up with the score.

I wish I had a better picture below but this is from my phone. It is Reese's coach congratulating her on a goal she scored (one of two). He had been yelling at her to get in to a different position on the field but she didn't hear him (or ignored him) but she ended up being in the perfect spot to get a goal. He was telling her good job and apologizing at the same time. Too funny!

As soon as her game was over, we headed home for a quick lunch and then Reese and I went to the high school soccer game. Our girls are in the play offs and this was a quarter-final game (I think). We have had so much fun watching them play. They are so good and so aggressive. It has really made Reese love soccer and want to do better so she can play when she is older. Our girls won and I am hoping we can make it to the next game as well!
