After 1100 miles on the road we are back from a beach vacation and family reunion.
Last Saturday morning we left for Destin. We spent the week there with my parents and Becca. Last year when we went to the beach Reese was a month from turning three. We told her when we were leaving that she would be almost four the next time we went to the beach. Well from that day forward she thought that meant we would be celebrating her fourth birthday at the beach...and she talked about it for the entire year. My dad was able to work it out that we did spend her birthday week there this year.
Thursday was our last full day in Destin so we lived it up at the beach and pool. Friday morning we packed things up and headed to Jacksonville to spend the night. We went to dinner and stayed with Lance’s Uncle Charles that evening. We did this because my dad’s family was having a family reunion just north of Savannah Saturday morning. We spent the day in Bulloch, GA at the family reunion and had a great time visiting with family. We made it home around 5:45 this evening and are so happy to be home and getting to sleep in our own beds!
